I was an IV drug user for 6 years.  I arrived at the Hope Center for Women on September 3, 2015 after a 7-month stay at the Logan County Detention Center.  I had 5 counts of burglary and a drug trafficking charge.  I had a 10-year prison sentence hanging over my head.

At the Hope Center for Women, I got to see first hand how to live as a Christian.  Sue and April taught me how to trust in the Lord and how to build a relationship with Him.  They shared their personal testimonies of God's unfailing love, His grace and His mercy.  They told me that what the Lord had done in their lives, He would do in mine.  They said He could and would fix the mess my life had become and He would be faithful to restore all that I had broken - and He did.
The more that I read the Bible, the more God would reveal Himself to me, and the more I learned about who Jesus really was.  Scott and Sue, along with April and her husband, Ben, showed me in their every day lives at the Hope Center for Women how they rely on Jesus for everything.

The Hope Center for Women and my journey there will always be a chapter of my life that I will always hold dear.

"He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire.  He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along."

- Psalm 40:2 NLT -

"So let’s not get tired of doing what is good.  At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up."

- Galatians 6:9 NLT -
